Local Sales
The cooperation between EFIC and Ministry of Agriculture played essential role in making Egyptian farmers realized the benefits of the Phosphate fertilizers which are very suitable for Egypt’s soil and climate in general , especially Granulated Single Super Phosphate fertilizer ( it has the same advantage of Powdered Single Super Phosphate fertilizer which supplying plants with Phosphorus, Calcium and Sulpher beside fixing plant roots in the soil ) moreover it is appropriate to a clean environment, reduced loss during fertilization and it is used to fertilize desert . The compound fertilizers supply plants with the same elements plus Nitrogen and it is used for different kinds of field crops.
In 2004, total local consumption of Phosphate fertilizers was more than 1million tons, EFIC captured 70% of the market. EFIC achieved 112% growth in its local sales of Phosphate fertilizer in 2004 compared with the previous year. 2004 witnessed a growth in local sales of Commercial Sulphuric Acid reached 118 % compared with year 2003. Sulphuric Acid is an essential chemical product which used as intermediary product for most of chemical industries such as fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, water treatment and military industries.

Export
The fertilizer industries are a global commodity business. Increasing consumption of fertilizer is a natural outcome of population growth and increasing demand of food around the world especially in developing countries, so that EFIC had the ability to increase its exports to these countries and penetrating new global markets. Obviously, EFIC is internationally considered one of the dominant global companies in the fertilizer sector.
In 2004, after covering the local market demand of Phosphate fertilizers, EFIC exported 228K tons of GSSP with growth rate 130% compared with year 2003 related to its efforts to achieve a high quality of production and high technical manufacturing through products' improvement( chemically and naturally) to satisfy global markets demand.
EFIC managed to snatch the Latino market from its global competitors side by side with the previous global markets such as Italy, Albania, Greece and Sudan and penetrating new markets during 2004 in Uruguay, Argentina, Turkey and Iraq

It worth mentioning that capacities doubled for both Sulphuric Acid and GSSP/NP are to fulfill demand booming in both local and international markets.
SCFP started its operation test of the new production line of GSSP/NP in the last quarter of year 2004, while the production line of PSSP started its actual operations in January 2005 earlier than its settled time in the feasibility study .The ammonium Sulphate line is expected to start its operations in the midyear of 2006. The second half of Year 2006, will witness the start of Sulphuric Acid production
